The water temperature is 57 degrees in the morning and slightly stained. We’re still getting some cold nights, but the water is gradually warming. I could definitely tell a difference in the fish bite this week. The larger fish are starting to group up as the baitfish are beginning to move into their pre-spawn mode. I had some really nice people out this week and they had a blast. One group from Minnesota caught their first stripers and ended up boating 23. Another group from Statesboro who had made it an annual event boated 32 stripers and hybrids. There is no particular hotspot as the fish are still moving a lot but the Parkesville area in S.C. and the Raysville area in G.A. are producing nice catches. Good Fishing,
Captain Dave Willard
